Email Marketing Guide Part 2: Squeeze Page and Email List

Email Marketing Guide Part 2: Squeeze Page and Email List

Welcome back to the guide to email marketing! This is the second blog in our series that will teach you how to make money online using email marketing! If you missed our first blog, where we discussed what a squeeze page is and how to utilize it to make money online, you can find it HERE.

In this blog, I will teach you how to create your own squeeze page and an email list. Let’s start with the latter and help you create your email list! An email list is a list of emails from people who have decided to opt-in in your squeeze page. There are a lot of options you can explore online. However from my experience, the GetResponse website is one of the best. It offers great value and functionality, as well as free 30 day trial.

After signing up, click on ‘Contacts’ and then ‘Create List’. Think of a name for you list and press ‘Create’. And voila, you have yourself a place where you can manage the emails of people who have opted-in.

Once that is done, you’re going to want to create your squeeze page. We could use the squeeze page creator in the GetResponse website, however I recommend using ClickFunnels. This website offers great tools for squeeze page creation while also preventing your squeeze page from being banned for using it to make money online.

After signing up to ClickFunnels, press the button on the top that says ‘Click Funnels’. After that, press the yellow button, titled ‘+Add New’. Then, you’re going to want to click ‘+ Create New Funnel’ under the ‘Classic Funnel Builder’ section. After that, choose the goal of your squeeze page. In this case, we want to collect emails so that’s what you should click. If you have a different goal for your squeeze page to accomplish, such as creating leads or selling products or services, we have looked deeper into how to achieve these goals in this BLOG.

However in this blog we are only talking about collecting as many emails as possible. So after selecting this goal, you will be taken to a page that lets you create a name for your squeeze page. After doing so, you will be able to create a design using one of the provided templates, or by using your own custom design. At this point I advise to choose a random design just to test out how it works. You will be able to edit the design later.

From here you will be able to manage your email list and select the desired operations you want, such as sending regular automatic emails to your list, promoting your own or other people’s products and services and make money online that way.

The last important step I would advise you to take in order to avoid a 2 step confirmation from your subscribers is going back to the ‘Contacts’ page in the GetResponse website, then accessing the list settings, clicking ‘Subscription’ and unchecking the two double opt-in boxes, titled ‘Web subscription’ and ‘API subscription’.

In the next blog we will be looking deeper into creating an effective squeeze page and will discuss why your squeeze page may not be working. You can find this blog HERE.
